| Cyclotek is the major supplier of PET radiopharmaceuticals, and the first commercial operator of medical cyclotrons in Australia.
Until now, PET scanning has mainly relied on 18-Fludeoxyglucose (FDG), a tracer that targets upregulated metabolic activity. FDG has therefore been the main product produced by Cyclotek, since commencement of operations in 2002.
Our facility is licensed by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) to manufacture and distribute FDG throughout Australia and New Zealand.
 Cyclotek is actively involved in furthering the commercialsiation of research and development into alternative cyclotron-produced radiopharmaceuticals that will provide higher diagnostic specificity. As a founding participant in the CRC for Biomedical Imaging Development Limited, Cyclotek will produce a number of these new radiopharmaceuticals under the TGA Licence.
